Basildon Jewellers, welcome to my website, Bespoke Jewellery and Watch Repairs. A little bit about me.
I am a wife, mother and stepmum to four lively, boisterous children who keep me hopping around. Family life can be hectic at the best of times but that’s not allowed to interfere with my work. I have successfully built up my own independent jewellery service over the years and it also happily coexists with my role in our family jewellery workshop where I look after our very loyal customers.
It’s in my blood. I was literally born into the trade. My father is a talented jeweller who learned his trade in London. He ran a Rolex watch case and bracelet workshop in Hatton Garden and other similar workshops. He later decided to branch out and open his own workshop and business and he gained contracts with many of the high street jewellers. In the meantime, he was still working for Rolex and Ebel watches and all the shop and factory repair work in Hatton Garden and Birmingham jewellery quarter.
I joined the business in 1986, with my brother, as soon as we both left school. Our father was our mentor and painstakingly and patiently passed on all his accumulated skills and knowledge to both of us, and this is what has made us the jewellers we are today. My father and brother still work side by side in the workshop, and they will be the ones looking after you.
My business is based in Basildon and I am home based. This means that I can meet with you face to face for a personal jewellery consultation. As I work from home I have very low overheads, which is why I can offer you competitive prices. My aim is to offer you a Platinum standard jewellery service. I have over 30 years experience in the jewellery trade and specialise in handmade jewellery.
One of my favourite things about the jewellery trade is making new pieces out of sentimental pieces that customers already own as well as creating unique bespoke jewellery. This is my passion. I design jewellery using my own ideas, with CAD (computer-aided design) and our talented jewellers’ skills and create new pieces. As a highly skilled artisan,n I take great pride in all of our work. I am also a perfectionist who is determined to provide my clients with the highest quality jewellery.
